Who doesn't love the Fall? October seems to be one of those months everyone loves. Cooler weather, fall colors, and, of course, Halloween.
Every October, we are visited by ghouls, goblins, and things that go bump in the night. Add Trash, and things can get really scary.
In the month of October, over 11,850 pieces of trash were picked up by just one of our volunteers on just one mile of Mission Beach. Thats scary!
Want to know what else is scary? There were 55 Illegal Fires left smoldering in the sand and four instances of vehicles using the park and boardwalk to get out of the Jetty parking lot.
Our hope is that things will improve over the month of November with less tourism and cooler weather.
