A Life Of Re-Purpose.


The measure of life is not its duration but its donation.


Part of what we do at Don't Trash Mission Beach is rescuing reusable items and giving them back to those in need.


In 2022 we were able to rescue and re-donate or reuse 9764 items. Our primary donation places are Goodwill, Father Joe's, Homeless, and Humane Society. We also donated to various causes throughout the year.


Textiles:

A total of 7325 items were picked up in 2022, and we were able to donate a total of 2891 items.


Totals:

1460 sheets, blankets, towels, sleeping bags, and totes were picked up.

Sheets= 148 Shoes= 980 Blankets= 130 Pillows=11 Clothes= 1126 (picked a total of 4,166 items) All underwear and socks have to go to the landfill. Hats= 250 Towels= 504 Rugs= 3 Electronics= 16 (Speakers, phones, chargers, earbuds) Furniture= 29 (canopies, beach chairs, umbrellas, chairs) Food=115 (Unopened food left on the beach) Personal items= 110 (shampoo, sanitizers, soap, haircare, lotions, knee braces, toothpaste) Dishes= 115 (glasses, plates, pots and pans, silverware, bottle openers, flashlights, knives, scissors, coolers) Reusable bottles= 64 Sports and Entertainment

We picked up a total of 11,643 items Life jackets= 7 Wetsuits = 9 Fins= 9 Sand Socks=13 Balls= 30 (Basketballs-baseballs, volleyballs, soccer, golf) Golf Club=1 Toys= 3247 (undercount as we picked up 9189 pieces) We were also able to Rescue and recycle. Most recyclable bottle items are given to various canners or needy people. 18,354 Metal Cans
